ABOUT ME
Hi there, I'm Sanjana!
I’m a UX researcher based in San Francisco Bay Area with experience in both business and consumer products. I am passionate about education, mental health, and civic tech spaces. Most recently, I worked at a startup called Rippling doing early stage research on new products. I graduated with a Masters in Human Factors in Information Design from Bentley University. In the past, I have worked at Intuit, Charles Schwab, Adobe, and a real estate tech company called ZapLabs. Before that, I got a B.A. Psychology at UC Berkeley, where I first discovered my love for studying people and did an honors thesis in social psychology research.
I work closely with cross functional teams to understand their questions about users and figure out how to answer them with both evaluative and generative research. I’m a big believer in collaboration and communication.
Some methods I use:
o Remote and in-person interviews
o Moderated/unmoderated usability testing
o Contextual inquiry
o Surveys
o Persona generation
o Journey mapping
o Diary studies
I am currently a volunteer UX researcher working with a local government through US Digital Response. I have also been a mentor to high school students through Minds Matter Bay Area.
When I’m not researching people, you can find me nerding out on psychology podcasts like Hidden Brain, searching for the best ramen in whatever city I’m in, or hiking near the ocean.
